Trish Higgins - Artist, Photographer, Visionary

Trish Higgins has had her artistic visions developing since she started drawing at the age of four. Constantly drawing with pencils and inks, she drew everything she could, but her main focus was people. She worked on commission for many portraits, including several years as a caricature artist, delivering brilliant color renderings that featured meaningful scenes, objects and memories forming a wonderful artistic testimonial for people as they retired, were promoted, or just celebrating an event!

During her early twenties, Trish took time out to raise a family, but still continued with her drawing. With her mother's influence and talent for making unique crafts for the home, she started selling her crafts at local craft fairs and other venues in the Naperville/Aurora area.

In 2007, she adopted the tradename of WynterLuna, and desired to form a company using this name to market her artistic endeavors.

As her full-time career took off, she went on artistic hiatus, and when the COVID-19 pandemic reached its peak in 2020, she found time to start painting and also discovered a niche market for crescent moon wreaths that she gave "personalities" to, by naming them and artfully giving each a theme to go with the name.

The first set of wreaths she posted for sale in 2020, sold out in a week! Fast forward to 2022, and with the encouragement of friends and fellow craft artists, she decided to open her own shop, and start selling her artwork on her etsy website (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WynterLunaArtistry). WynterLuna Artistry is looking to participate as a vendor at local craft fairs and marketplaces, so check out show listings here! Her work is always well received~

Her passion for photography always lurked in the background, and she bought her first professional equipment in 2019, and has been developing her photography skills since. Her photography has been heralded as "whimsical", "vivid" and "her having a natural eye for framing". Trish decided to take an 'entry-level' photography course at a local college, and the rest, as they say, is history.
